BLACKSBURG, Va. — Gary Wayne Gibson, age 69, of Blacksburg, died Monday, February 2, 2009 with his family by his side. He was born in McComas, Mercer County, West Virginia on September 9, 1939 to the late Avron Virgil and Mary Marguerite Wagner Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Dianna Kathleen (Kathy) Gibson of Blacksburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Terry Porterfield of Christiansburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Wayne and Jeannie Gibson of Christiansburg; one sister, Phyllis Gibson of Bluefield, West Virginia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Louise Gibson of Debary, Florida and Michael and Kim Gibson of Bluefield, West Virginia; four grandchildren, T.J. Rife and wife, Rebecca, Grayson Porterfield, Alec and Alexa Gibson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy and Jerry Boothe of Tazewell, Yvonne Thompson of Joppa, Maryland, Mary and Randall Ratliff of Richlands.Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Va. with the Rev.
