 Gladys
Leona Harless, age 97, of Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield,
W.Va., passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at her home.
She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her joy in
life was cooking and helping others. She was a devoted
Christian and a member of the Montcalm United Methodist
Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Harless;
daughter, Evelyn White and her husband Huston White;
sons, Jesse (Chuck) Harless and Gordon (Sonny)
Harless.
Survivors: Daughters, Loretta Boucher and husband
Robert of Salem, N.H., Ann (Bootie) Mosqus of Pel Ham,
N.H.; sons, Junior Harless and wife Janet of Salem, N.H.,
William Harless of Bluefield, W.Va.; sister,
Margaret Huffman of Baltimore, Md.; special niece and
caregiver, Lettie Belodeau; 13 grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at
1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with
the Reverend David Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow at
Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Her pallbearers will
be grandsons, Christopher Boucher, David Boucher and William
Harless; nephews, Sammy Thompson and Ronnie Thompson; and
son-in-law, Robert Boucher.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the
funeral home.
